Enhancing Data Analytics and Visualization Capabilities for a Health-Tech Company: A Strategic Consulting Initiative

About client:

The client is a health-tech organization that specializes in Digital Therapeutics (DTx) to assist individuals with various conditions such as diabetes and obesity in achieving meaningful health outcomes through personalized technology and science

Challenges:

A health-tech company had identified and implemented certain martech tools but due to adhoc implementation and platform selection they were unable to derive the expected results. To overcome this they were looking for a partner to help plan and organise their analytics strategy and implementation.

Firstly, they required a review of their current implementation of Ruddrstack, Mixpanel, and Google Bigquery, and suggestions for necessary changes. Secondly, they were struggling to track various product metrics effectively and needed guidance to implement the best processes for tracking product metrics. Finally, they were unsure which platform to choose for visualization and needed assistance in identifying the right platform for their needs, such as Metabase or Google Data Studio, or another platform. The company sought expert consulting services to address these challenges and improve their data analytics and visualization capabilities.

Our solution:

To address the challenges faced by the health-tech company in their data analytics and visualization processes, we proposed the following solution:

Understand business objectives:
We first gained a deep understanding of the company’s business objectives and requirements to build a plan.

Application walkthrough:
We conducted a thorough walkthrough of the company’s Wellness App, Coach Dashboard, and Website to gain an in-depth understanding of their existing data infrastructure.

Understand existing tech stack:
We analyzed the company’s existing tech stack, including Leadsquared, Webengage, FB Ads, Google Ads, and Youtube Ads, to identify potential integration points and data sources.

Define short-term goals/KPIs:
We defined short-term goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help the company measure and track the success of their data analytics and visualization initiatives.

Product analytics:
We recommended best practices for product analytics to help the company track and measure key metrics related to user engagement, conversion rates, and other critical business metrics. Using our proprietary kaliper.io framework we identified and setup the metrics that needed to be tracked.

Analytics stack decision:
We provided a comprehensive list and comparative analysis of available options in each analytics stack, including data collection tools such as Firebase and Segment, warehouse platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake, and visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI. We also suggested specialized visualization tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Fibotalk, or GA.

Results:

By implementing these solutions, the health-tech company was able to improve their data analytics and visualization processes, measure critical business metrics accurately, and make data-driven decisions to achieve their business objectives.
